Colin Simmons is thrilled and grateful to be a recipient of the Acting Upstage Syd and Shirley Banks Prize. Theatre credits include the Caretaker in Brantwood: 1920-2020 (Theatre Sheridan [TS]), Alfie Byrne in A Man of No Importance (TS), and Leo Frank in Parade (TS). Workshops include Altmayer and Valentine in Faust (Theatre by the Bay), Jimmy Valentine in Leslie Arden’s The Gift of the Magi (Theatre Orangeville [TOV]), Lonnie Wynn in Prom Queen! The Musical (Canadian Music Theatre Project [CMTP]), Terry Fox in Marathon of Hope (CMTP), and Max in Norm Foster and David Warrack’s A Snow White Christmas (TOV). At Theatre Orangeville, Colin created and directed two youth programs, assistant directed numerous Young Company productions, and directed Romeo & Juliet and Alice in Wonderland.
