Triple Threat with Jeffery Straker

Unlike the other performers in this year’s UnCovered: Billy Joel and Elton John (coming up November 12-13), Jeffery Straker is not a musical theatre artist first and foremost. Instead, he’s a successful Canadian musician known for his piano-based pop, much like the music of these two classic “piano men” showcased in the concert. Triple Threat with Chilina Kennedy

As if that isn’t enough, you certainly want to check out Joel Gomez, the newest cast member in the production, in his first professional Toronto musical. A recent graduate of Sheridan’s Performance Musical Theatre Program, this is just the beginning for Joel and we are so psyched to see what he does next! More

Dana Jean Phoenix’s Triple Threat

This past week, we opened the final show of our tenth anniversary season: our reimagined revival of our hit 2007 production of Elegies: A Song Cycle. But as the Elegies cast continues to astound every night, our Banks Prize winners are putting the finishing touches on their cabaret, Cabaret Sauvignon. Before they perform on March 30 and 31, we asked them what makes their inner theatre geek sing: here’s what Dana Jean Phoenix had to say. More
